Oregon Mozart Players

Regarded as staples of the chamber music repertoire, Beethoven’s cello works span all three compositional periods of his life and explore a range of expression and intensity that ventures beyond any of his predecessors. OMP cellist Eric Alterman joins me in celebrating Beethoven’s spiritual and dramatic contributions to the cello repertoire with sonatas from his early and late periods as well as a set of brilliant variations on a theme from Mozart’s The Magic Flute.
