A program of compositions paying homage to previous times, featuring music by a nearly-forgotten harpsichord student of Haydn, a modern portrayal of 18th century aristocratic household in the style of Rameau, a world premiere exploring conversations between the ancients and today’s societies, and an arrangement of Schubert’s Arpeggione sonata performed by rockstar violist Nokuthula Ngwenyama making her OMP debut.
